Headquartered at École Polytechnique de Montréal within the Poly-Grames Research Center, the largest microwave, millimeter-wave and THz academic center in Canada, the Electromagnetics Theory and Applications (ETA) research group, headed by Prof. Christophe Caloz, is a dynamic team of talented researchers developing cutting-edge electromagnetic concepts, techniques, devices and systems. The ETA group, based on the platform of the prestigious Canada Research Chair Future Intelligent Radiofrequency Metamaterials (FIRMs), held by Prof. Caloz, specializes in electromagnetic metamaterials, a field in which it has gained international renown for many pioneering concepts and applications. However, the activities of the group extend well beyond: they cover most of the fields of theoretical, computational and technological electromagnetics engineering, with strong emphasis on emergent and multidisciplinary topics.
